Altair Asesores has been awarded to implement the EU-funded project on Study on Statelessness in the context of development cooperation. The project’s main objective is to inform and advice the Directorate General for International Partnerships (INTPA) on the most appropriate interventions it should consider for addressing statelessness in its countries of competence through its available instruments of development cooperation.
The project will identify the countries in the INTPA geographic areas where statelessness represents an outstanding issue, as well as the most important measures to address this challenge. Furthermore, the analysis of available EU-funded development projects addressing, directly or indirectly, statelessness will be provided, particularly in the following 5 selected countries: Myanmar, Sudan, Bangladesh, Côte d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, identifying strengths and weaknesses, drafting a set of recommendations to better tackle and mainstream statelessness.
