The Knowledge Hub for expertise on Gender equality, HRBA and Disability aims at providing expertise to help ensure implementation of the GAP III, the HRBA, and the Strategy for the rights of persons with disabilities 2021-2030 throughout EU external action at country, regional and global levels. It also aims at providing specialized support to implement an intersectional approach, integrating the rights of persons with disabilities, and addressing all intersecting forms of discrimination, including discrimination against LGBTIQ+ persons. The target population includes women, people and groups living in poverty and vulnerable situations, at global, regional and country level.
Activities include to:
1. Support the Quality Assurance process of EU external programmes and projects by ensuring that gender equality, the HRBA, and disability are mainstreamed in all actions;
2. Design and implement capacity-building and learning activities for EU staff;
3. Supporting the monitoring, and reporting for the GAP III and other reports;
4. Conduct analyses, studies and research in the field of gender/HRBA and disability policies;
5. Support EU Delegations in establishing a communication strategy for Gender Equality and Women’s empowerment;
6. Provide “on demand” support to EU Delegations.
