On 26 January 2026, a new technical assistance mission was launched in Papua New Guinea to support the development of the National WaSH Sector Development Plan and the Siassi Water Supply Assessment. The assignment supports the Government of Papua New Guinea, through the Department of National Planning and Monitoring and the National WaSH Programme Management Unit, with the aim of strengthening strategic planning in the WaSH sector and improving readiness for future investment.
