Objective: The objective of this assignment is to strengthen the institutional development of National Institute of Magistracy enabling it to adequately meet the training needs for all the Romanian magistrates. This would be achieved through improving the capacity of NIM’s training of trainers department and continuous training department, to manage and disseminate long distance courses. The assignment would strengthen the already achieved developments accomplished through previous programmes and work for development of an independent, professional judicial system providing high quality training for all magistrates in the country The new Codes will affect the activity of the Romanian judges and prosecutors in the upcoming years and will, therefore, require initial and further training for all Romanian judges and prosecutors.
Hence, the proposed project/assignment will improve the NIM’s institutional capacity of training all judges and prosecutors to apply the new laws, from the e-Iearning perspective. The project activities will include the development of NIM network of trainers with a view to their specialization in the new methods for development and training e-Iearning modules, with a focus on the following fields: new Civil Code, New Procedural Civil Code, new Penal Code and new Procedural Penal Code.
