Objective: The main objective of the project is to support the communication on EU cooperation development and reforms in Armenia in order to increase the knowledge and visibility of EU programmes and policies with the Armenian stakeholders and general public.
At the same time, it will increase awareness and, in particular, understanding, of the European Union, its institutions and its values among university and secondary school students in Armenia, including understanding of the economic and social consequences for Armenia and Armenians of closer integration.
The aims of this project are as follows:
• To raise public awareness in Armenia as a whole of EU-Armenia relations by providing accurate and informative information in a way that is easily accessible;
• To support the communication on assistance activities with specific regard to the main EU Assistance instruments (Twinning, TAIEX, SIGMA, Technical Assistance) and the deployment of the Comprehensive Institution Building programme and to other projects and assistance programmes as outlined in the EU-Armenia Action Plan 2009-2011;
• To explain, through all available communications channels and especially by utilising university and schools’ curricula, to Armenian university and secondary school students the European Union, its institutions, its values and its increasing relevance to Armenian society as integration gathers pace.
Target groups : Youth, Media – national, European and international, Business community, Civil servants and local governments, Civil society organisations (NGOs), Cultural figures, university & Secondary school teachers and students.
