The overall objective of the project is to foster and promote a functioning pluralistic and participatory democracy in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and Syria. This implies the development of activities directed at improving the skills of civil society leaders in the policy-making process, policy dialogue, and advocacy; supporting the EU and CSOs in these countries in their structured dialogue with the European Union and improving DG NEAR HQ and EU Delegations’ capacities to work with civil society. Direct beneficiaries are CSOs and young CSO leaders active in the region and focusing on issues such as good governance, rule of law, human rights issues, women and youth organizations, advocacy and policy dialogue, environmental issues, etc.
