MarÃa Dora de Barrionuevo (Bilbao, Spain) is a lawyer and political scientist, and has three master’s degrees (European Union Law, MBA and Executive HR) With more than 20 years of experience, Maria Dora has developed a large part of her Professional career in the world of international consulting, implementing and directing complex Technical Assistance projects in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and North Africa, actions financed by both multilateral and bilateral organizations, as well as the private sector.
Currently, she is specialized in the sectors of social development, environment, infrastructure, human rights, gender, migration and public administration reform: governance, regional integration, accession to the EU etc.
Before joining Altair, he held positions of responsibility, both in the area of business development, and in the execution of contracts financed by multilateral development organizations (European Commission, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, AECID, etc.). tasks of identification of opportunities, selection and analysis of markets, commercial support, advice and assistance in the execution of operations, as well as in the development of export activities and preparation of tenders.
She is highly knowledgeable about the current procedures of the European Union, she is currently the deputy director of the Framework Contract-Lot 3 (Deputy Project director), a position that combines with the coordination of technical assistance (TA) projects and missions of framework contracts of the portfolio of Altair, having successfully managed since its incorporation more than fifty projects and programs of different scale and complexity.
Her working languages are Spanish, English and French, and she has knowledge of Italian.
