The purpose of the Electoral Experts Mission (EEM) is to collect and analyze information, evaluate and report on the electoral process and its alignment with international commitments, standards and good practices for holding democratic elections in accordance with the criteria contained in the Communication from the Commission on Electoral Assistance and Observation [COM (2000) 191]. The experts will also provide recommendations to improve future electoral processes and will assess, where appropriate, the status of implementation of the recommendations made by previous electoral missions.
