After nearly three years of working alongside the European Union Delegation to Senegal, we have concluded our involvement in the technical assistance project aimed at strengthening gender mainstreaming in EU cooperation and supporting the implementation of the Gender Action Plan III (GAP III).
Since the start of the assignment in July 2023, the project, led by AETS in partnership with Altair Asesores, has supported the Delegation through a wide range of activities designed to advance gender equality. These included the provision of specialised technical assistance, institutional capacity building, the development of monitoring and evaluation tools, the preparation of sectoral analyses, and close collaboration with civil society organisations and other development stakeholders.
For Altair Asesores, being part of this initiative has been an especially rewarding experience, both professionally and personally. It has given us the opportunity to contribute to a process of change driven by the shared commitment of numerous institutions and professionals to promoting equal rights and opportunities for women and girls.
We are proud to have contributed to this collective effort and to the progress achieved throughout these years. As this chapter comes to a close, we remain convinced of the importance of continuing to promote policies and actions that foster a more inclusive and equitable society.
